PROBLEM
ABB Electrokoppar AB used ordinary PE film to package
their copper and aluminum electrical cables during sea
transport to Thailand. They experienced heavy corrosion.
ABB needed a product that could protect their cables
from corrosion during shipping.
APPLICATION
ABB Electrokoppar chose Cortec VpCI-126 film to
prevent corrosion on their cables. The cables were
packaged in VpCI-126 film prior to shipping.
REASON CORTEC SELECTED
Cortec VpCI-126 provided excellent corrosion protection
for the one month transport to Thailand.
